From the beginning of their education at Gillespie we want children to make sense of their physical world, their community and to begin to develop an understanding of the wider world, its culture, its geography and its history.
We want our children to explore the diverse cultures that make up our community and the wider world and begin to build key knowledge, skills and understanding as they progress through the school. They will develop a love of learning about the world through the study of history, geography and religious education, enabling them to explore their own identity and lives in the context of our diverse and ever changing society.
